I started cycling in 2020 (during Covid) as a way to get healthier, my husband is a cyclist and saw all the neat coffee shops he was visiting on his rides. This was something that I wanted too! I started training on the trainer and on the road around Richmond, my goal at the time was to be able to ride 50km!!! I found cycling absolutely terrifying at the beginning from clipping in and out, riding in traffic, keeping up with other riders. I tried finding groups and communities to learn from that kind of fit with my fitness and experience level but found them intimidating, even the women only clubs and communities were too far away to join. There was nothing in my community. Slowly, I started riding with more experienced riders that were so patient with me and my confidence increased every week as I rode farther and faster, now riding 100km is just a regular ride!!! I have found good friends, community and health through cycling and I want other women to see that they can have that too!

I’ve always loved traveling and going on adventures — whether it’s exploring a new city abroad or spending time in the great outdoors. I discovered cycling during COVID, as it gave me the perfect way to continue exploring the city while staying active and outdoors. What started as a casual hobby, sparked by buying a second-hand bike off Facebook Marketplace, has since grown into a true passion for road cycling. I enjoy the camaraderie of group rides and the fun of discovering new cafes around town, but also appreciate the peaceful solitude that solo rides offer.
As a Liv Ambassador, I would love to support my local Liv retailer by helping build a stronger, more welcoming community for women riders. This could include collaborating on women-focused group rides and creating events that make cycling more approachable and fun. What resonates with me most about Liv is its strong identity as a global Taiwanese brand — something I feel personally connected to as a proud Taiwanese. It’s inspiring to see a brand from Taiwan making such a meaningful impact in the cycling world. I also deeply appreciate that Liv was founded by women and is dedicated to designing products specifically for women. It shows a genuine commitment to inclusivity, representation, and thoughtful design that empowers women to feel confident and supported both on and off the bike.
